Goals, Goals and More Goals, that’s the best way to sum up this year’s all-star game in Montreal, which the East won 12-11 in a shootout. My favorite moment from the game was the Bruins’ Goalie Tim Thomas getting cheers from the Habs faithful. For all you non-hockey people, that’s like Yankee fans giving David Ortiz a standing ovation at Yankee Stadium. My other favorite moment: the first penalty called in the NHL All-Star Game since 2000!

The other cool moment from All-Star Weekend was Zdeno Chara braking Al Iafrate’s record for the hardest slap shot in the skills challenge. Chara broke the 16-year old record with a blast measured at 105.4 mph. Check it out!
